Port 113.  Greg Lundberg answered one of my posts back in October or
November suggesting ipchains(8) to make the ident question moot; I posted a
follow-up with example code, it should be in the archive.  That way, you
don't have to have the argument with your router programmers over why they
drop these packets instead of politely REJECTing them ;-)

Also, as I posted back in March, look at your main xinted configuration,
specifically log_on_success and log_on_failure.  If USERID is one of the
parameters, you're still doing auth checking, even if you've turned it off
everywhere else...

Hi
    My problem is tht Im behind a firewall that block my ident requests,
i tried to put the -I option in my ftpd, and restarted xident and
nothing happend, then i put the option TIMEOUT RFC931 0 to my ftpaccess
with the same results. If anyone knows both, how to disable ident
requests or wich ports use ident, please let me know.
