The Doslinux home page is at
http://www.tux.org/pub/people/kent-robotti/
Everything you need to know is there, but here are some juicy bits.
The distro is stored on a FAT16 partition using a LOOP system. The Linux
filesystem is actually seen to DOS as a file - you specify the size of the
file at install time. It takes up about 12MB of space on my Compaq Aero -
letting me run Dos 6.22 also. It is already pretty stripped down so it
doesn't require loads of memory. Developement tools are available, as is
X - and if I remember correctly they are already precompiled and you install
them via a nifty little routine the author built into the system that
connects to his server and downloads the appropriate package.
