I would like to request/reserve a vendor-specific field number within the P=
PI standard.  I have a need to incorporate the receive chain mask and the n=
umber of chains, but haven't found a suitable location.  In lieu of arbitra=
rily misusing another field, I have created a vendor-specific field.  If th=
ere is a more appropriate location for this type of meta-data, I'm all ears=
!
