Hi All,
Good Evening!!
This is Prajilal, a software engineer. Please see my problem with Wire
shark below.
In my company we have 3 Proxy servers. We are using Wire shark on these
servers.
All are with the same configurations, using same adapters “BASP Virtual
Adapter"
OS: Windows server 2003 (same patch)
In 2 proxies WireShark is working fine.
In one Proxy Server, the live lists of the capture interfaces are not
showing in Wire shark. On selecting the Interface List there is an error
message shows "There are no interfaces on which a capture can be done."
In order to fix this, i tried:-
1. Restarted the NPF service. It didn't help me.
2. I tried to edit the Interface list. But there is no interfaces
displaying in "Wire shark Preferences - Profile". (Please see
Preferences.png)
The details are
1. the WinPcap version
*WinPcap_4_1_2 <http://www.winpcap.org/install/bin/WinPcap_4_1_2.exe>***
2. The output of windump -D
*Please see Output Windump-D.rar***
3. The OS platform (Windows NT4, 2000...) and type (home,
professional, x86 or x64...)
*Windows server 2003 (x86)*
4. the network adapter(s) installed on the machine (type and model)
*BASP Virtual Adapter***
5. The list of all the special networking software, such as firewalls
and VPN clients that are installed on the machine.
*1. **Microsoft ISA Server *
*2. **F-Secure Antivirus for Windows Servers*
6. the problem you are encountering (possibly with the steps on how
to reproduce it)
*Just opened the Wireshark interface***
Any help is very much appreciated.
