Windows XP Pro PC running Wireshark V1.8.0 error. 

If you go into Wireshark's "Manage Interfaces" from the "Capture Options", click on \
the "Remote" tab and add a remote PC that is running WinPcap's rpcapd, all of that \
PC's interfaces are listed OK.

When back in Wireshark's "Capture Interface" the desired remote interface is selected \
& the "Start" button pressed, an error dialog is displayed. All that it says is \
"Unknown error (pcap bug; actual error cause not reported)".

However, once that error dialog is acknowledged, the remote capture is fine.
