Hang on a sec.

We get a lot of ignorant Americans "correcting" colour to color,
or -ise to -ize.  If they're arrogant as well as ignorant, they may
claim that colour and -ise are "wrong".  That's wrong, of course.

But at the same time, we can't claim that any of British/Canadian/
Australian/Indian/Commonwealth English are uniquely "correct",
either, or that American English is "wrong".  We'll never get
past these dialect wars as long as anyone (even the English,
whose name is indeed on the language) is insisting that only
their variant is correct.

Language evolves.  The language used in the UK today is not
spoken or spelled the same way it was in 1776, either.
