Hello NeZa!
You are right, nobody will replace their full-featured browser to Lynx :-).
This Netcraft data on 1st April was just their joke.
For example, I'm not using Lynx. I have my own hacking method of protecting
myself from attacks on modern browsers (including Firefox and IE) ;-). Which
I'm using for many years. And my method has enough balance between Security
and Functionality.
Best wishes & regards,

Nobody is going to replace Firefox/IE for lynx.
And you know the reason, the balance that needs to be kept between Security
and Functionality.
When a security control makes Functionality useless then it is not a good
security control. :-)

Hello Robert!
I recommend to everyone to take into account that Lynx also has
vulnerabilities. Like last Code Execution in Lynx
(http://securityvulns.com/news/Lynx/lynxcgi.html).
Every browser has holes. Lynx just has less than others ;-).
