Are you sure they were deleted? When I experienced this on my debian box, I
went and looked, and it renamed the old webmin directory to webmin.timestamp
where timestamp was an epoch time. All I had to do to get my old config back
was rename the new webmin folder, and rename the old one to webmin.

Subject: [webmin-l] Upgrade to 1.160 hosed all config files

Hello,

I have been happily using webmin for the past few
versions, and all was working perfectly.

An upgrade today from 1.150 to 1.160 through the
webmin interface caused all of the /etc/webmin/
subdirectory "config" files to be deleted, and most of
the subdirectories were deleted also.

The system is a White Box EL 3.0 distro. Copying the
subdirectories and config files from another machine
with webmin on it seems to be working, but there are a
lot of modules to fix!

Any ideas on what happened, and how to prevent this in
the future?

Brian
