Sharon,

Thank you for sharing. I have used both Google Docs and Zoho, and I think they are \
great for storage. Perhaps I will suggest a way to promote these storage solutions.

Sincerely,

Kate Slavinski

Kate, I don't currently, but I was working at an academic library a couple of years \
ago when I saw a student lose about 5 hours of work when the computers shutdown \
early. (I guess the library's clocks ran slower than the server's system clock.) They \
were set up to wipe any user documents on shutdown, and there was no recovery \
possible.

If I were working in a public or academic library today, I would promote online \
office apps and storage--Google Docs and Zoho in particular. Microsoft also offers an \
online office suite, but I haven't used it much. Adobe has a beautiful word processor \
called Buzzword, and they're adding spreadsheets and presentations, though they \
haven't been promoting it much yet.
