SYSTEMS LIBRARIAN

Broome Community College has extended its search for a Systems Librarian. This is a \
12-month tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Librarian.

Responsibilities: In consultation with library faculty and staff, this position is \
responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of programs and services \
supporting the use of computer and related technologies  including the library's \
integrated library system, Ex Libris Aleph, Illiad, computer-equipped classroom, \
staff desktop computers and peripherals, the library's webpage and electronic \
reserves.  Participates in library planning including development of new services and \
initiatives, and committee work.  The position reports to the Director of the \
Learning Resources Center.

Qualifications:  A master's degree from ALA-accredited library and information \
science program required. Demonstrated experience in managing integrated library \
systems and web services, electronic resources, and web development. Working \
knowledge of MS Office applications, SQL, PHP, and HTML. Strong analytical, \
organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, and flexibility in the \
workplace required. Experience working with Ex Libris Aleph, Illiad, post-secondary \
teaching experience and second graduate degree desired.

Hiring range $43,282 - $54,964.  Salary offer will be based on qualifications.  \
