I am pleasantly amused that you would correct yourself online. As a stickler
for writing accuracy, I notice a great many things in email messages, from
folks who can't be bothered with capitalization (although not on library
lists), to just plain sloppy typing, to usage errors. I rarely comment when
tempted, for fear of alienation, but you've giving me an opportunity to cite
my favorites:

   * Apostrophes, including people who, for fear of error, avoid them
     completely
   * It's vs. its
   * Alot
   * Complement vs. compliment
and my current favorite:
   * The past tense of "lead" (pronounced "leed") is "led" (pronounced
     "led"), NOT "lead" (pronounced "led"), which is a metal (though not
     a mettle or a meddle).
Ain't English grand?

Corrections humbly accepted.
