Whoa! That's going to make life hell for a lot of companies developing AVL
systems which have turned to MapPoint for cheap maps. In the end, Microsoft
is going to loose in this - what's the point of having a mapping product
that costs a lot more than it's "consumer" grade one, but is so restricted
as to be useless for anything other than playing about? Why would the
consumer grade version have built-in navigation, and the commercial version
not? Or being able to represent moving vehicles on the map? Why should this
be different than representing static objects? The licensing departments of
some companies sound like they are on crack sometimes....
