Hi,

I have compiled VTK and ParaView successfully on Solaris 2.8 using gcc 3.2.1
without problems.
I just needed to set these environment variables before starting CMake :
 CC=gcc
 CXX=g++
 MAKE=gmake
 CFLAGS=-fpermissive
 CXXFLAGS=-fpermissive

Objet : [vtkusers] SuSE Linux or Solaris 9 x86 binaries

hello Please help,

I have up and running Suse Linux,

and solaris 9 for intel X86,

I'd like to have VTK - Java

please,

Do I have to build all from sorce ?

I noticed that Debian Linux has VTK for Python as binary

but not for java,

For the Moment I'd like a fast solution.

Has anyone  sucessfully created  Binaries

for  Suse or  Solaris ?

Best regards

Morten
