FYI:

A Network Computing article points to a hands-on VPN tool that will allow
you to test VPN products in a real-world situation and assess performance
against industry benchmarks.  The tool, called CMPmetrics for VPNs, requires
the Chariot testing software, which has a link to a trial version.  The
