Consider the following: For opening a connection, VNC uses two ports: 58xx and 59xx, \
where xx is the display number (as it is called in the properties dialogue).  If You \
want to forward a VNC Connection by SSH (or something else, maybe a proxy software), \
You have to forward both ports (or more if VNC auto-accepts  connections and more \
than one at once should be possible). Keeping this in mind should prevent other \
connection problems at all.
