Re: Perl/Tk vs Tcl/Tk

1. Note that SpecTcl has a sibling called SpecPerl - which generates perl/tk
code.

2. I recently had just the opposite happen - a perl programmer was asked
to create a gui program for the first time. She tried perl/tk, but
found the syntax too baroque, and the doc too skimpy. After 3
days of being unable to even start, she came over and asked me for
alternatives. I gave her a pointer to tcl/tk, Ousterhout's Usenix
intro to tcl and tk slides, and a copy of Ousterhout's book.
She had working code before the end of the day.
