The basic information for the VxVM layout comes from "vxprint".

For entire setup:
vxprint -htA

For a specific disk group:
vxprint -g <dgname> -ht

To see a list of volume groups:
vxdg list

The mounted filesystems you'll have to get from "mount". Below is mounted
filesystems for <dgname>.
mount | awk '$3~/\/<dgname>\// {print $1}'

Filesystem type can be gotten from another form:
mount -p | awk '$1~/\/<dgname\// {print $4}'

HTH - Mark

Subject: [Veritas-vx] Commands for obtaining similar info as GUI

All,

I am being lazy looking for the following info (please forgive me).
I want to know the set of commands the GUI is using to gather which disks
belong in a Volume Group and also how many copies of volume, type of FS,mount

pt,etc...

Basically, where is the script or scripts that runs on the backend for
collecting the info similar to above for the GUI stored?

All help is appreciated.

TIA
