Check with your disk vendor to see what they support. AFAIK, the only vendor
that
supports Soc+ is Sun. We're using Jacor HBAs with EMC and Hitachi arrays.

Subject: [Veritas-vx] Sun SOC+ vs (Jaycore or Emulex FC HBA's)

I just would like to ask this illustrious list what the difference there may
be between Sun's on-board Soc+ FC-AL port and third party Jaycore and Emulex
Cards. I have been wondering why TP storage vendors like EMC and HDS does
not utilise the built in FC-AL ports on the I/O boards of the enterprise
class servers. We have many servers that have multi I/O boards that all have
Soc+ FC ports - do we really need to use Jaycore/Emulex cards when we
migrate to FC attached storage? We are using Veritas to manage all storage.
