Hi,
  Yoy can easily get into that problem if your
  mount-point was /home/something...
  Then you get in conflict with the automounter.
  
  1)  mount the filesystem somewhere else.
  2)  remove the /home entry in /etc/auto_master
      en restart autofs: /etc/init.d/autofs stop/start
