NFS mounts in a clustered NFS server environment should always
be hard, so it will retry until failover is complete.
Soft will timeout and discard the writes

Subject: [Veritas-ha] NFS client mount options for VCS NFS

Should the home directory server be mounted soft or
hard(using indirect maps) when using VCS NFS to
failover between two servers? I am inclined to think
that it should be mounted hard since there are writes
to the home server. Can some one shed some light?

Thank You
