Nope, not crazy.
This is the quick and easy way to write a new agent
to allow different monitoring parameters.

Subject: [Veritas-ha] Agent Cloning?

Is it possible to "clone" a VCS Agent, namely the Application Agent?
By cloning, I mean
	cp -rf Application Foobar
	mv FooBar/ApplicationAgent Foobar/FoobarAgent
	Adding appropriate entries to types.cf

The reason I ask is I plan to use the App Agent for a number of
processes where I plan to use the default agent values but I have
another set of processes where I want to up the MonitorInterval
and whatnot.

Is my reasoning sound or am I crazy?

If you have any trouble sounding condescending,
find a Unix user to show you how it's done.
