Todd,

You didn't mention your platform but since you got a Dr. Watson one
presumes NT4 or W2K. At any rate a number of things come to mind,
especially with NT4. The things I would check are

1. Available disk space.

2. Disk fragmentation, with any version of NBU I recommend defragging
daily, it is hard on drives.

3. Reboot the system at least once a week to clear memory, especially
NT4 which is notorious for trashing memory.

4. Do you have enough memory for what you are doing? Figure 250 MB per
drive.

5. Check the System and Application logs to make sure there isn't
something else going on unrelated to NBU. This could be an imminent
failure of a drive or some such. Oddly enough check the log settings
themselves to make sure that they are set to "overwrite as needed". Full
logs do some very odd things at times.

Hello,

Just a day ago my Master server started showing in the Activity Monitor
90 failed job ID's with no data. They arrived at 12:01am that morning,
the exact same time the Master server had two Dr. Watson errors with
bpdbm.exe. Has anyone ever run into this or have any suggestions on what
I can do to troubleshoot? When I opened one of the Job ID's in the jobs
directory this is what I found:

1BEGIN 0 1056351690

JOB_STATE 3

STATUS 50

2END

Thanks,
Todd
