There seem to be a few issues with the device handling in 3.1.4 as
I've noticed that it seems to grab things rather differently than
3.1.2 did.  I had an issue where it grabbed control of my CD drive
whatever I did and I couldn't ever get it to relinquish control so I
could get the CD out.
