I was wondering about this too, but my first work-around was to boot the guest
with a Damn Small Linux ISO in the "dvd" drive, and mount it in there to tinker
with it...
I'd prefer to be able to mount the VDI as if it was a disk image. I thought
about something using fuse (user-space fs mounting) but I haven't gone any further.
