Comment:

 I've moved this to the Future_Protocols wiki page, we don't track change
 requests with tickets, only bugs.

 I read the document quickly and that should be doable. I wonder how big a
 securityhole it is that you can connect to the backend and claim to be a
 proxy this way. Apart from the obvious spoofing, what if the backend takes
 use of this proxy protocol to mean that HTTPS was used ?
