Are you sure the fix is in ubuntu? It is fairly recent.

Also, with that fix, the doc needs updating, because "uwsgi://" is not
good anymore.

It work with :
    ProxyPass       /foo/
unix:/var/run/uwsgi/foo.socket|uwsgi://uwsgi-uds-foo/
