indeed... other possibilities include:

	o Kolab. doesn't reinvent many wheels as it uses standard Free Software IMAP, 
LDAP, POP, SMTP servers. in fact, it already uses several of the servers that 
will almost assuredly be a part of User Linx such as Postfix and OpenLDAP. 
it's designed for scalability, has several features such as a web client in 
addition to native client support. the biggest drawback here is that it, much 
like Samsung Contact and other such offerings, doesn't work perfectly with an 
out-of-the-box plain vanilla Outlook. the biggest hurdle for Kolab, really, 
will be across-the-board client support. Kontact will be there in the spring, 
web browser access is already there, Outlook can be there, Evolution would 
need a connector.

	o _perhaps_ eGroupware. it's PHP and web service based, can work quite well 
with native groupware apps, but i'm not sure it's all that scalable?
