All,

I am trying to hack some code into hostfs_user.c as a module and am
having trouble setting up some prototypes/exports.

The code that I am adding needs to call:

   getuid()
   getgid()
   seteuid(x)
   setegid(x)

When I try to load the module, I get:

[root@vsys_2020 root]# insmod hostfs
Using /lib/modules/2.4.20-5um/kernel/fs/hostfs/hostfs.o
/lib/modules/2.4.20-5um/kernel/fs/hostfs/hostfs.o: unresolved symbol setegid
/lib/modules/2.4.20-5um/kernel/fs/hostfs/hostfs.o: unresolved symbol getgid
/lib/modules/2.4.20-5um/kernel/fs/hostfs/hostfs.o: unresolved symbol seteuid

I have tried to find where "getuid()" is being setup for export to
"module symbol space" but am obviously missing something.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where "host library
linkages" are trickled down to "modules".
