That's probably the problem.  /usr/src/linux should contain the sources for 
the native kernel.  /usr/include/asm probably points to /usr/src/linux/asm, 
which probably now points at /usr/src/linux/asm-um.  Point it back to 
/usr/src/linux/asm-i386, and things should build again.
