Is there a reason that Unison 2.40.61 that is currently labelled as
"beta" has not become the "stable" version replacing 2.32.52?

I am assuming that whoever packages for Debian (and hence for Ubuntu)
will only package the stable version.  This means 2.32.52 remains the
version considered current by Ubuntu for 11.04 as well as Debian.
