Thank you for your advice.
As far as I can see, unison is pretty much self-contained; therefore I
could install a newer version in my home directory on the Linux host.
One sticky point remains: the latest binary contributed for Windoze is
2.12.15.
And in which 2.13.x was the diff problem resolved?
