There is a hack I use to "fix" this bug if you don't have the time to
figure out how to compile unison....very effective, simple, and It works
:)

Open the unison binary with an editor such as vi and search for the
following string:

    Warning: 'uname' returned unrecognized result (%s) in Util.isOSX.

The next occurrence of linux is the one you want to change to Linux.
