Those just appear to be placeholders.  The genromfs is supposed to see those 
files and create proper device nodes from them. 

"@i2c-0,c,89,0" is saying "/dev/i2c-0, character device, major 89, minor 0."

I don't know enough about the uClinux build environment to know why it's not 
working, but simply create a /dev/i2c-0 with the proper attributes and you 
should be good to go.
