Another thing I can think of is maybe I forgot something in the kernel
cmdline ?
thanks again,
ilanp.

Subject: RomFS mounting problem

Hi list,
I'm trying to get ROMFS to work:
- I've tested the romfs.img, and mounted it to my Linux machine - it seems
fine.
- blkmem_init seems to recognize it correctly, as the size is true.
- the header seems fine too. with hexdump I see it starts with: "-rom1fs-"
however, I get a "bad initial checksum on dev 1f:00" message. did anyone
encounter such a problem ?
here's a snapshot of the printouts I get during the way:

[..snap..]
...
Blkmem copyright 1998,1999 D. Jeff Dionne
Blkmem copyright 1998 Kenneth Albanowski
Blkmem 1 disk images:
0: 1EC9F0-29C5EF [VIRTUAL 1EC9F0-29C5EF] (RO) /* <-- that's a correct
size and place! (ip) */
...
[..snap..]
...
romfs: bad initial checksum on dev 1f:00.
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 1f:00

any ideas anyone ?
thanks,
ilanp.
