hi,

buildroot worked fine for some time, but now I'm getting errors from
makedevs:

makedevs: line 42: regular file
'/home/i/buildroot/build_i586/root/bin/busybox' does not exist: File exists

the file does indeed exist:
$ ls -la build_i586/root/bin/busybox
-rwsr-xr-x 1 i i 300664 2005-11-28 11:41 build_i586/root/bin/busybox

the line in device_table.txt is (I didn't change it):
/bin/busybox   f   4755    0    0    -    -    -    -    -


second problem: some program (probably fakeroot) is putting empty files
starting with "st" in /sbin:

$ ls -la build_i586/root/sbin/st*
-rw-r--r-- 1 i i 0 2005-11-28 11:27 build_i586/root/sbin/st0W0es9
-rw-r--r-- 1 i i 0 2005-11-28 11:33 build_i586/root/sbin/stL2Z5N4
-rw-r--r-- 1 i i 0 2005-11-28 11:28 build_i586/root/sbin/stXUlI5l
-rw-r--r-- 1 i i 0 2005-11-28 11:41 build_i586/root/sbin/sthrImEU
-rw-r--r-- 1 i i 0 2005-11-28 11:30 build_i586/root/sbin/stvHsZXa

these files seem to confuse genext2fs:
/home/i/buildroot/build_i586/genext2fs-1.3/genext2fs: st0W0es9: Not a
directory

removing the files doesn't help, each time I run make a new file is
generated.

the buildroot code is the latest from subversion, fakeroot is 1.2.10


any hints are appreciated.
