HEY - I found this "intel_iommu=off" and it makes a HUGE difference.

BEFORE   AFTER
68     489
13M   489M
83M   454
30M   418

those are three different machines - two are 22.04 and one is 20.04
combination of dell server and NUC-i3 and NUC5C machines.
