    I tried also no joy. I used Alt-T numerous times on a stock updated 
Hardy. Mine is:

karl at karl-hardy:~$ nautilus --version
GNOME nautilus 2.22.5.1
karl at karl-hardy:~$

So I wonder if it takes an 8.10 to do this? I have that on my laptop.
