I work for a company that has dealings with SuSE, and was recently
able to try their 9.2 release.

Removed my Hoary so I could take a look, and have the following
observations to make:

1. SuSE has great out-of-the-box ACPI support ( I have a HP pavilion ze5200)

2. SuSE has better native bluetooth support (with my devices, anyway)

However, I am sat looking at the screen while working and am thinking
... the SuSE way of things has got more cluttered than ever before,
and has added polish even to previsouly rough surfaces ... and that is
not what I want on my desktop.

I am enjoying the clean lines of Ubuntu's GNOME, and the new way I am
having to install packages. My linux experience is better for it, and
is more satisfying, and I don't find myself saying 'just because I
felt like it' to my wife when I destroy what is on the hard drive
again.

I am sure that ACPI and bluetooth support will improve with time. I
still find it amusing to unplug from the mains and that the battery
monitor still believes it's plugged in. I can swear at the laptop and
bluetooth does often do as it's told more often than not. My problems
with it tend to be in the pairing.

I'll be putting warty back on, followed by a hoary upgrade when I get
home tonight.

Thanks again to the dev folks for putting together something special.

- Jon
