All TRU64 Managers,

A DEC2000 running very old DU 2.X OS has lost communication on a
very remote site.

The server repeats message "lost carrier: check connector" every
30sec or so. The server is unable to speak to the world and the world is
unable to speak to it. The network on this LAN is BNC and has integrity as
other devices there are communicating happily.I can talk over WAN to
everything on remote site except the server.

I have isolated the server from the LAN by adding two terminators on
the Network card. Message still repeats.

Nearest support is a couple of days away. I am hoping somebody can
help.

Does anybody have any ideas or is more information required???

Sincerely,
Malcolm Condie
