Dear all,

My question was: "How should I set up my Alpha box so as to download the fonts
for X-terminals from it?"

I gathered the answer from: Yves Vander Haegen
				Yizhong Zhou
				Knut Helleboe
				Miguel Mena
				Leonardo Lazarte
				Reinhardt Doelz

Thanks to you! Here it is:

1) My X-terminals are set to use the tftp protocol.
   - check in /etc/inetd.conf that the tftpd entry is not commented out
   - check the last parameter in this line. It is the "home directory" for
tftp. Let us call it /usr/tftpboot

2) As far as I understand now, the client (my X-terminal) can get a file
ONLY from this directory. Thus, a link MUST be made between /usr/tftpboot
and the actual directory where the fonts reside.
I therefore made a soft link between /usr/tftpboot/fonts/100dpi/fonts.dir
   and /usr/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/fonts.dir
   idem for 75dpi

3) Now I just define the font path in the X-terminal configuration window
   as /usr/tfptpboot/fonts/100dpi/fonts.dir

and here it is. Thanks again.

Jean-Loup
