Subject:    [Trac] the effect of changing severity level on existing tickets?

  first, i'm assuming that not everything that's available via
"trac-admin" is similarly available thru the browser, right?  (for
instance, i can't see how, thru the browser, to modify properties like
"components", unless i'm just plain missing it.)

  also, what should happen to existing tickets with a given severity
level if i change that severity level?  for example, i created a
ticket with severity "normal", then used to "trac-admin" to change
that severity level to "whatever" globally.  that is:

  # trac-admin <proj> severity change normal whatever

  "trac-admin" showed that there was no longer any severity level of
"normal" (ostensibly, i'm guessing, for *future* tickets), but the
existing ticket was still flagged as "normal", and checking its
drop-down list of severity choices showed *both* "normal" and
"whatever" as choices.

  is this the expected behaviour?  thanks.
