Subject:    log() method

I am running Tomcat 4.0.3 on a NT box here, and I am trying to use the =
log("my message here");
method. The log() method should put the messages into the error log, but =
I am not seeing any activity there. In my installdir I have a logs dir =
and inside there there are Four(4) logs.
catalina.log
localhost_access_log
localhost_examples_log
localhost_log

I have been tailing each of those, but I never see my messages. Also, =
they do not go to stdout, as I am starting tomcat in a cmd window, and =
the log() does not go there.
