Hello,

i use the following environment: scotty2.1.11 on my Linux Box (kernel
2.2.x).
I have problems with large snmp responses(exceeding the MTU) which are
segmented then on IP level.
A check with ethereal has not shown any errors on IP/UDP level but Scotty
always reports "invalid length field in header".
After reading the socket man page it seems that the user/application has to
take care for the defragmentation of the IP fragments.
Is that functionality not supported by scotty2.1.11 ? This would match the
error message (lenght indicator in the UDP header greater than the payload
of the first segment).

I made a cross check with a W2K box and using the scotty3.0.0 snapshot.With
this version i did not received any error.
Was the defragmentation a new feature of version 3.0.0 ?

Kind regards,
Torsten
