This Special Issue of Computer Communications on Green Networking aims at p=
roviding innovative contributions to the research and development of energy=
-efficient networking solutions and approaches for network sustainability.

Possible topics include, but are not limited to:

=95 Energy efficiency for the core network
=95 Energy efficiency for data centers
=95 Energy efficiency for content distribution architectures and applicatio=
ns
=95 Measurements and models for energy consumption of networks and
networks' elements
=95 Prototype, testbeds, experimental results
=95 Zero grid-electricity networks
=95 Use of renewal energy in the networks
=95 Life-cycle assessment of networks and network components

Submission deadline: May 1st, 2013
Author notification: July 15th, 2013
Revised paper due: September 15th, 2013
Final author notification: October 15th, 2013
Publication: First quarter 2014

*** Instructions for submission
Manuscripts must not have been previously published nor currently under
review by other journals or conferences. If the paper was published in a co=
nference, the submitted manuscript should be a substantial extension of the=
 conference paper. In this case, authors are also required to submit their =
published conference articles and a summary document explaining the enhance=
ments made in the journal version. Papers must be submitted through the Com=
puter Communications website at http://ees.elsevier.com/comcom, where guide=
lines for manuscript preparation can also be found. To ensure that all manu=
scripts are correctly identified for consideration by the Special Issue, th=
e authors should select "Special Issue: Green- Net" when they reach the "Ar=
ticle Type" step in the submission process.
