We would like to invite you to submit a paper to the
Workshop “Exploitation of Higher Frequency Bands in Broadband
Aerospace Communications (EHF-AEROCOMM)” co-located with the IEEE
Globecom 2008 conference, on Sunday, 30 November 2008.

IEEE Globecom 2008 conference is the Premier Telecommunications Event
for Industry Professionals and Academics from Companies, Governmental
Agencies, and Universities around the World and will take place in New
Orleans, LA, USA, from 30 November – 4 December 2008.

The EHF-AEROCOMM workshop is a unique event in order to discuss open
issues about higher frequency bands in satellite communications. The
expected outcome of the workshop is to make people coming from space
industry from scientific and academic world and from national space
agencies to cooperate together in a wide and open community, whose
task is to explore and exploit unexplored frequency bands with
potentialities and drawbacks still to be investigated. A contribution
to standardization activities in the field is expected too.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following:
1 Antenna design for higher frequency aerospace communications;
2 Higher frequency propagation modelling in aerospace
communications;
3 Design of modulation and coding techniques;
4 Space missions for higher frequency aerospace communications;
5 Payload design and implementation;
6 Propagation impairment mitigation techniques;
7 Design of electronics components;
8 Network layer optimization and cross-layer design;
9 Service deployment to targeted user communities: reliability
and availability;
10 EHF for radar applications;
11 EHF for Digital Divide reduction: a future perspective;
12 Economics, pricing and charging of emerging services supported
by higher frequency aerospace connections;
13 Standardization bodies and activities.

Submitted papers must describe new research works that are not
currently under review nor have been previously published. Paper
length should not exceed five-pages.
Please,for more information, refer to the Paper Submission page for
submission guidelines in the EHF Workshop site:
wavemission.uniroma2.it/wave/workshop/index.htm

The proceedings of EHF AEROCOMM workshop will be published in
electronic format on IEEE Xplore.

Important Dates:
Submission deadline for regular papers: August 1, 2008
Notification of acceptance: September 15, 2008
Camera ready papers due: TBD (probably not later than October 1)
