MASCOTS 2004 Conference
Volendam, The Netherlands
(outside Amsterdam)

12th Annual Meeting of the IEEE / ACM International Symposium
on Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation of
Computer and Telecommunication Systems (MASCOTS)	

In Cooperation with the IEEE Computer Society and the ACM.

Conference: October 5-7, 2004
Tutorials: October 4, 2004
Workshops: October 8, 2004

Important Dates:
28 June 2004 - Paper Submissions due
5 July 2004 - Workshop and Tutorial Proposals due
23 July 2004 - Posters & Tools Abstracts due

Overview:
MASCOTS will hold its 12th annual international meeting in the beautiful 
lake-side, resort town
of Volendam, The Netherlands (just north of Amsterdam), at the Best Western 
Hotel Spaander.
We encourage researchers world-wide to submit both theoretical and 
practical results of
significance which have not previously been published. The conference 
proceedings for
MASCOTS 2004 will be published by the IEEE Computer Society.

Scope:
The scope of the symposium includes, but is not limited to:

_ Application areas such as Databases, Biotech, Wearables
_ Analysis Techniques and Formal Methods
_ Benchmarking and Measurement Techniques
_ Capacity Planning
_ Performance Analysis and Validation Techniques

_ Discrete Event Simulation Methodology and Tools
_ Middleware Performance (Object Oriented, Parallel Simulation, etc.)

Paper Submissions:
We encourage researchers world-wide to submit both theoretical and 
practical results of

Tutorials, Workshops, Tools Session, and Posters:
We further invite proposals for conference workshops, tutorials, tools 
presentations, and posters.
Tutorials will take place on October 4, 2004; workshops will take place 
October 5, 2004.
