Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) of the
University of Kansas seeks an outstanding individual for the position of
chairperson. The University of Kansas has 26,000 students in its
Lawrence campus, and is a Carnegie Research University I. The
University is located in Lawrence, a community that was ranked first in
the nation in culture among cities of less than 100,000 in population
(Rand McNally's Places Rated). Lawrence is a fast growing, friendly place
to live with a highly educated population, and access to many sporting

<br> The successful candidate for chairperson should have an earned doctorate or \
equivalent in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or \
related fields and have an interest in leading faculty, developing academic and \
research programs, and representing the department to industry, government, and \
alumni. A candidate meeting university-wide criteria may also be \
appointed as Distinguished Professor. <br> \
