Do you know how to force this behavior?
Sylpheed is running here (FreeBSD-6.1-RELEASE) for 12h45min and I don't see
any zombies, just one process as expected:
USER PID %CPU %MEM VSZ RSS TT STAT STARTED TIME COMMAND
rnsanchez 701 1.4 2.8 35048 14392 v0 S 9:18AM 2:51.35 sylpheed
...
Any chances that this is Solaris-only?
ps: I'm not objecting your fix. :)
