This is fairly simple. You create a new folder within sylpheed, close
sylpheed, then unpack all the mails (including subdirs) into this
folder and startup sylpheed again. You might need to 'Rescan' folders
to see everything you just added. Then you can move all the mails over
to your regular structure. 

This is maybe not perfect, i.e. automatic, but it works. :-)
