OK, I think I got it right now.

unless the user explicitly sets a trust level (3 to 5, or marginally to
ultimately) to a key, Sylpheed will display either:

  result = use_name ?
    _("Valid signature but the key for \"%s\" is not trusted") : 
    _("Valid signature (untrusted key)");
